Dear Kellogg Parents,

Welcome back to the 2024-25 school year! I hope this letter finds you and your family in good health and high spirits. As we embark on another academic year, we are excited to have your child as part of our school community. The purpose of this letter is to share information regarding the first day of school.

The first day of school for students will be on Wednesday, July 24, 2024; school starts at 8:45am. The school doors open at 8:15am, and we will have adults walking around school helping students and parents locate students’ teachers and classrooms.

Families are welcome to stop by school on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, to read students’ class assignments. We will post the Class Assignments from 4:00pm to 5:30pm at the front arbor. Families will also receive an email on Tuesday afternoon with class assignments. As a reminder, we do not make any classroom changes until enrollment numbers stabilize, which usually takes three weeks.

On our first day back to school, we will end our school day at 1:45pm. On Thursday, July 25, we will have a regular day; we will end our school day at 3:15pm. And then on Friday, July 26, we will have a minimum day again; we will end our school day at 1:45pm. If your student will be attending Transitional Kindergarten (TK) or Kindergarten, on Wednesday, July 24 you will need to attend an orientation meeting in your student’s classroom from 8:45am to 9:45am. Additionally, students in TK and Kindergarten will be dismissed from school at 1:30pm (TK) and 1:40pm (K) during the first eight days of school (7/24/24 through 8/2/24). School will not be able to provide transportation.

This year we will continue to support our students with their Social Emotional needs, my goal is that students feel comfortable and safe at school. Our dedicated faculty and staff have been working hard over the summer months, planning and preparing to ensure that every student receives high-quality education in a safe and supportive environment. Also, our staff has been working hard planning and preparing the after-school activities that our students enjoy so much!
